The Miniature Boerboel Breed was conceived and designed by Terry Allen (Allens Virginia Boerboels and Robbie Hernandez (Double L Boerboels) They saw a need for smaller dogs with the Boerboel characteristics, temperament and general appearance as companion dogs for people that:

• could no longer handle the larger breed.
• lived in confined spaces or smaller properties.
• needed a dog that could socialize, come with the family to functions and on trips.

In addition, improving the social nature and dog friendliness, general health, ability to breed, whelp and raise litters naturally were a focus.
